Running The Hills Of Western New York

Nut Job Runners all have one thing in common - they love hills.

"Hills are your friend."

"Hills are a speed workout in disguise."

They love hills. They seeks them out. They run up and down them. They praise them for making them stronger and then they run up and down them again.

Listed below are just a few of the great places to run hills in Western New York.

This place has it all - hills, trails, and a great running club - The Bond Lake Athletic Club. More nutjobs than any runner looking for company could hope for.

Directions: From Buffalo: I-190 north to Niagara Falls. Continue on to Lewiston.
At Lewiston-take Rt. 104 east to Dickersonville Road. Turn right-go up escarpment-turns into Lower Mountain Road-continue east until you see parking lot, ski hill, and sign for Bond Lake Park.

Devil's Hole State Park is located north of Niagara Falls, New York and overlooks the Niagara River Gorge and the lower Whirlpool rapids.

If you are looking for a workout with a lot of variety, these trails are for you.
